The song is a Christian praise song written and produced by Ted Reyes under NSFU Publishing. It is about the truth that the heart of Jesus is the same as God's merciful heart and how that heart showers everyone with grace and love.
Marian is still fresh from the success of her single "Kung Pwede Lang Sana, which is getting a good amount of streams on digital music platforms. She is a regular live streamer on social media platforms, often performing cover and original songs.

A Father's Heart is NSFU's first entry into the Christian Praise and Worship genre. In 1995, the song was selected as the grand prize winner of the inaugural songwriting contest initiated by Sacred Heart Parish in Quezon City, Philippines.
